We are excited to announce that School Food and Wellness Group has been included on the 2025 LSU100, a competitive program recognizing the 100 fastest-growing LSU graduate-led or -owned businesses worldwide. For our team, this recognition is both an incredible honor and a moment to reflect on how far we have come.

When our founder and CEO, Emily Chatelain, launched School Food and Wellness Group ten years ago, the vision was simple: “help schools access funding to feed kids good food.” What began as a one-person mission has grown into a team of 20, working across 20+ states, supporting more than 300 schools, serving over 100,000 students daily, and helping manage more than $300 million in funding.

Looking back, Emily shared: “I leaned into the journey, stayed centered on that mission, and followed where it led. I never imagined this would be the outcome when I launched this company, but I’m incredibly proud and humbled to see the impact we’re making.”

Being named to the LSU100 is more than a marker of growth. It also connects us back to our roots. As Emily reflected: “Being recognized among such an inspiring group of entrepreneurs and leaders is truly surreal. I’m deeply grateful for my time at LSU and proud to forever bleed purple and gold!”

This milestone wouldn’t be possible without the support of our incredible team, the schools we partner with, and everyone who has championed our mission along the way.

At School Food and Wellness Group, this recognition is both a sign of how far we have come and motivation to keep building on the mission that started it all: helping schools feed kids good food! Through our partnerships, we continue to support schools in navigating the National School Lunch Program, staying compliant, and strengthening their meal programs so staff can focus on what matters most, their students. This recognition inspires us to expand our reach, deepen our impact, and help even more schools confidently manage their programs while providing healthier, more effective meals.
