Olga V. Botero, RDN
Olga V. Botero is a Project Manager at SFWG dedicated to supporting schools in all aspects of child nutrition. A results-driven Registered Dietitian, Olga brings extensive experience from her work with USDA Food and Nutrition, the Institute of Child Nutrition, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She leverages her background in program management and nutrition education to help schools maintain compliance while ensuring their meals are both healthy and appealing to students.
What Olga enjoys most about her work is helping schools create meal programs that nourish students and bring communities together. When visiting cafeterias, her favorite moments are when the aroma of freshly prepared meals fills the air, staff greet students with warm smiles, and colorful, vibrant foods line the serving area — each dish offering its own taste and texture. To her, these moments capture the heart of what makes school food so special: care, connection, and pride in serving others.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Olga also supports translation of key resources for schools. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and trying out new recipes with her family.
