Melanie Romano MS, RDN
Melanie Romano is the East Coast Client Manager, supporting schools in operating confident, compliant, and successful nutrition programs. A Registered Dietitian with over six years of experience, Melanie began her career in corporate wellness before finding her true calling in school nutrition. Prior to joining SFWG, she served as a Food Service Director for a group of charter schools in North Carolina, where she gained hands-on experience managing daily operations, compliance, and program development.
One of her favorite school food memories comes from high school, where a group of Italian lunch ladies cooked everything from scratch. Wednesdays were pasta day, and the smell of fresh sauce would fill the hallways, sending students racing to the cafeteria for second bowls and extra garlic bread.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys staying active through recreational sports leagues, attending concerts and comedy shows, and traveling whenever she can. She’s also a proud Bravoholic and is always happy to talk all things Bravo with fellow fans.
Favorite School Lunch Memory:
Eating scratch-made pasta on Wednesdays, complete with second helpings and extra garlic bread.
