Kaitlyn Matthews, MPH, CHES
Kaitlyn Matthews is a public health professional with a background in nutrition, health education, and school nutrition programs. She has experience working with the New Jersey Department of Agriculture, supporting school nutrition initiatives that help ensure children have access to healthy, nutritious meals.
Passionate about health and wellness, Kaitlyn is dedicated to advancing programs that help children and families build healthy habits that last a lifetime. She is especially committed to improving school meal programs so that every child has access to nutritious foods that help them feel their happiest, healthiest, and ready to learn.
Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys strength training, yoga, and spending time in nature. One of her favorite school lunch memories includes sitting with friends, sharing stories from the school day, and trying new foods together. She also fondly remembers enjoying an Otis Spunkmeyer blue sprinkle cookie as an occasional treat—a simple reminder that school meals can create positive memories while bringing students together.
