Fatima Malik
Fatima Malik is a Client Manager supporting California schools, where she helps them operate compliant, efficient, and student-centered School Nutrition Programs. Her work spans everything from guiding schools through the process of becoming an SFA with the California Department of Education to supporting procurement, budgeting, claims, and audits. Before joining SFWG, Fatima worked as a State Auditor for the New Jersey Department of Agriculture in the Division of Food and Nutrition, giving her a strong foundation in program oversight and compliance.
What excites Fatima most about her work is the opportunity to help schools build meal programs that truly make a difference for students — programs that not only meet USDA requirements but also create joy and community around food. Her favorite school food moment is seeing students rush to the lunch line, excited for what’s being served. It always reminds her how special school meals can be when they’re prepared and served with love and care.
Outside of work, Fatima loves traveling and exploring new places — always looking for local food inspiration wherever she goes.
