Clare Keating, MBA, SNA
Clare Keating serves as the National Director of Operations at SFWG and brings more than 25 years of experience in the school nutrition industry. Her professional background spans leadership roles in food service management, state auditing, marketing, and instruction in food safety and sanitation. Since joining SFWG in 2017, Clare has leveraged her expertise in nutrition and business to help schools across the country operate effective, compliant, and student-focused meal programs.
What Clare loves most about her work is the human side of school nutrition — the moments that remind her why every meal matters. She recalls one Monday morning when a school was launching its new breakfast program. As she chatted with students waiting in line, a young girl without a winter coat told her she was excited because she hadn’t eaten the day before. Moments like that — full of big smiles, small hugs, and quiet gratitude — remind Clare what school meals truly mean in the life of a child and why she’s proud to do this work every day.
Outside of work, Clare enjoys cooking, traveling, and taking endless photos.
